In 2009 we took the camp on the road for the first time. We partnered with the city of Helen for a day out at the water park for kids of any physical or mental condition, and their families. We were amazed, surprised and humbled by the response. We had over 100 hundred volunteers, including several retired NFL players.
The kids had a great time, many of them had never heard of Camp Dream before, but they have now!
Out of that event, came the "Camping Out" concept. We are actively looking for communities that are willing to work with us to put on an event for these special kids and young adults.
