Cocktails for Kidneys (CFK) was founded when JCI Atlanta discovered a need to help out a kids camp, Camp Independence of the National Kidney Foundation, who was about to close its doors to due to a struggling economy back in 2011. Several YP groups were already discussing co-hosting a big event where we could bring everyone together, in one place. Since CFK was such a success with 500 people in attendance and raised over $10k in its inaugural year, we decided to make it an annual event. We changed the name to Cocktails for Camp (CFC) so we could choose a different children's camp each year to benefit. In 2013, we raised funds for  Camp for the Blind of the Georgia Lions Club which netted nearly $12k. In 2014, we were able to raise funds for Camp Horizon. This year will benefit Camp Dream and we expect to have over 500 people in attendance, raising well over $10k for this very deserving children's camp.
